WINEMAKING
The grapes are harvested by hand, with sorting and de-stemming, no crushing of the berries. A cold maceration in stainless steel vats, followed by temperature-controlled fermentation, which allows the maximum natural extraction of color and ripe fruit aromas.
French oak barrel ageing for 12 months 30% New oak.
Château Darthus Magador has a nice red ruby color.
A pleasant intense nose with aromas of lightly caramelized red fruit, cherry and blackcurrant, and a subtle attack on the palate revealing volume owing to the tannins. It is a silky wine, fine and well-balanced.
